A consultative workshop on advocacy for women’s protection plans was held in the interim capital, Aden, on September 30, 2025. This workshop was part of the activities of the project “Enhancing Access to Justice for Women and Girls,” implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with the ASF Youth Foundation, and with support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The workshop aimed to strengthen community and institutional engagement with women’s protection plans by discussing the vision, mission, and objectives, reviewing the protection plan, and providing participants with an opportunity to share their feedback and experiences to enrich and develop it.

The sessions also addressed mechanisms for integrating protection plans at the local level, defining the roles and responsibilities of participants during October and November, and developing advocacy matrices and establishing monitoring and communication indicators across district teams.

The workshop concluded with a discussion session that produced several recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of women’s protection plans and strengthen collaborative efforts between local authorities and civil society to support women and girls in facing challenges.
